Pondichéry Mineral water is now Ozonised Drinking water
Pondichéry Mineral Water is the oldest brand of Mineral Water in India. This water is directly bottled from a single deep source that knows nothing of pollution and overwhelms your thirst with the natural taste and purity of water you can trust.
The Pondichéry Agro Service and Industries Corporation Limited (PASIC), a Government of Pondicherry Undertaking was bottling and marketing Natural Mineral Water under the brand name " Pondichéry" since 1989.
When the ozonised and reverse osmosis water was in market with cheaper price, Mineral water bottles were not able to compete with their selling price and production cost. The same branded water is now available in Ozonised, RO & UV treated packed drinking water. I purchased a bottle of this brand from Pondicherry Bus Stand PASIC water bottle booth. When compared to Amma Kudineer - Tamil Nadu Govt packaged drinking water available for Rs10, the cost of Pondicherry Packaged drinking water is Rs20. However we still miss the old Mineral water of Pondicherry and its unique taste.

Welcome Painting - நல்வரவு
This Picture was taken at a Marriage Hall in Tamil Nadu. These paintings are common in Greeting cards, reception, temples and even at few old Hotels.
The Modern Theatres Ltd.
It is learnt that Modern Theaters Ltd was a motion picture movie studio at Salem started by Thiruchengodu Ramalingam Sundaram TRS in 1935. The studio produced over more than 150 movies until 1982 in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Sinhalese and even English of which Tamil movies were the majority.

The landmark was situated on nine acres on Yercaud road at Salem and was handed to a private construction firm for promoting flats and houses. The promoters, respecting its glorious past, have decided to dismantle the exquisitely designed stone arch carrying the legendary name of `Modern Theatres Limited' and erect it a few metres away with a new name, `Sundar Garden' as per `vasthu sasthra'. Other worn-out buildings, including studio houses and sheds, that figured in many movies are also being brought down. The arch is the only remaining of the glorious past.
T.R. Sundaram's grandson Mr. Suman Sundaram who is settled in Australia is currently looking to enter into the film making and follow his Grand Father's route in making successful new technology advancement in the Tamil film industry.
Also people have noticed many old cine artist passing through this site, stop their car for a while and remember their days on seeing the arch. The present view is displayed here.
