Chennai local bus service is provided by MTC - METROPOLITAN TRANSPORT CORPORATION (CHENNAI) LTD. Earlier it was known as Pallavan Transport Corporation Ltd.
Presently many old MTC buses are being replaced by new ones. 25 depots are being operated in chennai with around 3652 fleet services. 765 routes are being operated with over 23397 employees.
